99 YEARS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE
With 99 years of community service, the Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF) is the leading philanthropic institution in the state. HCF is a steward of over 700 funds, including more than 200 scholarship funds, created by donors who desire to transform lives and improve communities. In 2014, HCF distributed more than $46 million in grants and contracts statewide, including over $4.6 million in scholarships. HCF also serves as a resource on community issues and trends in the nonprofit sector.
What underlies all of HCF's work is its mission:
The Hawaii Community Foundation helps people make a difference by inspiring the spirit of giving and by investing in people and solutions to benefit every island community.
"The Pillars of Peace program creates an opportunity to share with global peace leaders Hawaii’s unique example of multiculturalism to carry with them wherever they go around the world."
